I love the days that start off with a photo session. I get to leave the house in the early morning, and I get to drive with only the music playing in my ears. I usually spend the time thinking about what the session is going to be like, what the location has to offer, and how I can challenge myself to get a certain image I have been imagining.
Deborah sent me an e-mail a little over a week ago. She wanted a surprise for her husband for Christmas. I was able to squeeze in a session in the middle of the week, and I am SO glad I did.
I knocked on her door, and when she answered she said something along the lines of “you have kids”. I was a little bit puzzled until I realized that there was a perfectly good doorbell waiting to be rung. I NEVER ring doorbells. I have considered removing mine, so it is never rung again. I never know if someone has JUST got their baby to sleep, or if there are dogs that are going to bark.
Upon entering her home, I was greeted by Oakley. Oakley is the sweetest dog. He was so tough with his giant pillow that he carried around. I just love labs, so him and I got along well. (I love dogs no matter the breed, but labs are just goofy).
I am very pleased with how Deborah’s maternity photos turned out. She is SO radiant, and gorgeous. I am sure her hubby will be ecstatic to open these on Christmas morning!
