Rowan – Burnaby Newborn Photography February 6, 2010

I have been photographing a whole lot of newborns in the last couple of months. I love every bit of it!

Rowan was just over a week old when I photographed him. He was wide awake for most of the shoot. This seems to be a trend with most of my newborn shoots. He did great though, and big brother Kaelen did fantastic as well. Having a sibling is one of the best things in the world! They were so cute together, and they will be great friends very soon!

Sahib has the most beautiful eyes. This little boy is so darn cute. He was an amazing baby to photograph. He was happy 95% of the time. He didn’t mind the hats, and we even got some shots with his cute little stuffed animals.

I love photographing newborns. They are so sweet, and SO little. They grow so quickly, and being able to capture their itty bittyness is a fantastic feeling.

Sahib has a big brother and a big sister who just love him. He is a lucky boy to have such a great family!

I haven’t blogged these photos yet, as I was super busy around this time. These photos of Koreen and her beautiful bump & family were taken at the beginning of November. The colours were GORGEOUS!!!!

I love Fall. Everything about it makes me smile. The crisp air, the hearty meals, and finally getting to wear my favorite boots! Of course, now that it is January, I can’t wait for Spring:)

Koreen looked amazing during her pregnancy. She is one of those mamas that just glows.

They have since added a beautiful baby boy to their family! His newborn photos will be posted VERY soon, and he is SO cute:)

Karina decided that she was going to be late to the party. The little miss arrived just over a week late and came out at 10lbs 10oz. Her mama looked FANTASTIC when I showed up for the shoot. You would never have known she just had a baby.

Big sister Danika loves her baby sister, but seemed a little more interested in my camera than being infront of it. She was super cute, and has the most beautiful eyes. Daddy is going to have his hands full with these two beautiful girls!

We have had an incredibly busy few weeks around here. Christmas was fantastic, New Years was a bunch of fun, and now it is time to settle down a bit.

I have many new shoots to blog about, and I am excited to be able to catch up and share all the new images.

Kayden was 3 weeks old when I photographed him. He seemed so much older. This little guy was talking away, and has the most beautiful big eyes. He was a little charmer.

He is a lucky boy having a big sister and a big brother who adore him. They are such a great family!

Deborah – Vancouver Maternity Photography December 20, 2009

I love the days that start off with a photo session. I get to leave the house in the early morning, and I get to drive with only the music playing in my ears. I usually spend the time thinking about what the session is going to be like, what the location has to offer, and how I can challenge myself to get a certain image I have been imagining.

Deborah sent me an e-mail a little over a week ago. She wanted a surprise for her husband for Christmas. I was able to squeeze in a session in the middle of the week, and I am SO glad I did.

I knocked on her door, and when she answered she said something along the lines of “you have kids”. I was a little bit puzzled until I realized that there was a perfectly good doorbell waiting to be rung. I NEVER ring doorbells. I have considered removing mine, so it is never rung again. I never know if someone has JUST got their baby to sleep, or if there are dogs that are going to bark.

Upon entering her home, I was greeted by Oakley. Oakley is the sweetest dog. He was so tough with his giant pillow that he carried around. I just love labs, so him and I got along well. (I love dogs no matter the breed, but labs are just goofy).

I am very pleased with how Deborah’s maternity photos turned out. She is SO radiant, and gorgeous. I am sure her hubby will be ecstatic to open these on Christmas morning!

Crisp Fall Walk December 9, 2009

Filed under: Personal — leinawade @ 10:10 am

My girls and I go on walks all the time. We have great parks around our house, and we even have a little lake/pond full of ducks.

It is only now that Brooke is 2.5, that I can actually get a photo of her looking at the camera. It doesn’t happen often, but every now and then I get to see her eyes! She LOVES nature. This kid could play with sticks, rocks, leaves, and animals ALL.DAY.LONG. She loves them.

We all love our walks. Especially on beautiful days like it was this day. I love snapping up the season in photos. Brooke is getting used to me having my camera all the time. She handed me her sticks and said ” You take a picture of my sticks pwease mama?”. I’ll take this over the glare she used to give me whenever I brought it out.

Lily – Surrey Newborn Photography December 7, 2009

Sweet Lily was a little over 2 weeks old when we did these photos. She was a perfect little newborn still. She was a little wee one when she was born, but has such a little personality already.

She was nice and cozy in her daddy’s arms, every time we moved her she woke up. We turned the heat up, and waited until she was REALLY asleep, and then were able to get some snoozy pictures.

They don’t stay little for long, I find it amazing how much they change in those first few weeks.

Evan – Maple Ridge Newborn Photography December 3, 2009

When I first arrived to do Evan’s newborn photos, the first thing I noticed about him was his hair. He has a beautiful full head of dark brown hair. I am sure that will be the first thing most people will notice about the little guy.

I had a great time chatting with Vanessa and John while doing these photos. Evan wanted to stay awake for most of the shoot. We were able to get him to sleep with a cozy blanket and the fireplace turned on. He was so peaceful looking. I love how the cozy blanket photos turned out!

Bell Family – Vancouver Family Photography November 26, 2009

It has been awhile since I have updated the blog. I have quite a few sessions to post, things have just been busy around here.

Back in June, when I was first starting out, I photographed baby Sienna when she was 8 days old. She is now a happy and bubbly 5 month old baby girl. Findley and Hudson were a blast to be around, they were giggling and laughing the whole time. It is a busy house with three kids, but it looks like so much fun.

We managed to get an hour of rain free time, so we headed outside to get a few shots. By the end of the shoot, Sienna passed right out she was so tired.
